You probably never thought that you and your spouse would be headed for divorce. Like many people that pledge their lives to one another, you thought your relationship would stand the test of time. Unfortunately, over the years, you've probably done more arguing that loving. Then, you both just decide to throw in the towel and decide to break up. While you may have thought breaking up would solve all your issues, you begin to realize you still really love that person and want to stop your unwanted divorce. If so, make use of a few steps that may help you patch up your relationship.
Face your problems
You can't fix what you don't admit to. That's why you both need to hash it all out and really target your problem areas. No one said marriage would be perfect. So if you feel like your partner is worth it, take all the time you need to really sort out your problems and analyze where you two went wrong. Once you know your problems, then you can work on fixing them.
Think positive
When trying to stop unwanted divorce, you'll go through many ups and downs. Sometimes it will just seem like too much work -- but don't get discouraged. There really was a time when you and your spouse were truly happy. You can get back there. Just try to stay upbeat while doing whatever it takes. It will definitely be worth it in the end.
Remember your vows
Standing up at that alter or justice of the peace meant something to you two at one time. You both committed yourselves to one another and promised to hang in there through the good and the bad. So now you are going through a bad time or a really rough patch, but it won't be forever. Marriage takes resilience, so it's important to work through your ups and downs. Don't give up and stay strong -- so you can stay together.
