It is very easy to forget about your health especially the heart's health when you try to make the ends meet together at your work, friends and family. We often purposely forget about your heart and priorities other stuffs like your job, Business and even your families' health. I am not saying that you should not take care of these but you should remember that if your heart fails rest of the things that you where giving priority will also fail. Drink more water.
Even though drinking water helps to eliminate toxins from our body cleans our skin and makes your body cool.It is also good for your heart. Lack of water in your body along with the dehydration cause the blood to thicken.There by giving extra load on your heart for pumping the blood through your body. So to lower the work load on your heart you need to drink at least eight glasses of water (approximately two liters of water ) daily.
Fruit and Vegetable diet.
Fruits and vegetables are loaded with vitamins that are highly essential for your heart and also it is low in calories. Make sure that you include lot's of fruits and vegetables in your diet plan. A good tip to follow Try to use different combination in your menu/Recipe so that you will not get bored of eating fruits and vegetable daily.
Include whole grains.
Including whole grain in your diet it helps reducing cholesterol and to control blood pressure. Since it is rich in vitamins, minerals and high in fibers and also low in fat. Studies have proven that As little as three serving a day reduces the risk of diabetes, obesity and cardiovascular disease.
Aerobic exercise.
The best way to keep your heart healthy is to do some aerobic exercise.You do not have to go to the gym/ fitness center to work out daily.But exercise like walking, Cycling/biking, swimming, Jogging and dancing will do. It makes your heart and lungs stronger and improves your endurance and stamina. If you are practicing yoga it is well and good since Yoga include so many simple exercises that tones your heart and overall function of your body both physically and mentally. A good tip here "Never do exercise for the sake of exercise eventually you will get bored" Try to include activities that mix fun with exercise like playing Tennis, Basket ball etc So it is like win win

Get Some sleep
Life becomes more complicated and busy day by day and to keep up with our work schedule We often reduce our sleeping hours. It is essential to get enough sleep during the night. If you are not getting enough sleep at night the blood glucose level will be poorly regulated which may lead to inflammatory changes in the arteries and veins. This may cause thickening of the walls of the arteries and scars may be formed inside the walls of the arteries and veins which may attract plaques which in turn increases the chances of heart attack. So make sure you get at least eight hours of sleep at night.
Quite smoking
Generally speaking Smoking is injuries to health. It is always better to quit smoking since the nicotine increase the cardiac muscles need for blood but it will decrease the amount of blood flow through the blood vessels.the carbon monoxide that contains in the smoke will bind with the red blood cells and there by reduce the oxygen carrying capability of the blood. So the heart has to work more to maintain the oxygen need of the body. Eventually this will weakens the heart and leads to heart attack. If you find it difficult to quit smoking it is always better to seek professional help.
